Phenomenology

Its relevance in certain academic disciplines
and professional practices

Introduction

The reach of phenomenology into different non-
philosophical domains has been steadily growing with, for now, no end in sight. Find below a growing list of disciplines which make extensive use of phenomenology in its self-understanding. The list is alphabetical by subject and open for additions.

Because phenomenology is an integral philosophy of consciousness and life it is hard to make sharp distinctions in its application in different specialized subject matters, especially the overlapping spheres of biology, cognitive science, psychology and psychiatry.
