Welcome

Welcome to [old] Alpheus, a web site dedicated [then] to the esoteric interpretation of history, initially through the prism of Theosophy but increasingly from a more skeptical point of view. Read here more about Alpheus.

Alpheus was started in 1997 to present some research on Krishnamurti and the Theosophical Movement:

Krishnamurti and the World Teacher Project

The Masters and Their Emissaries

Krishnamurti: An Esoteric View of his Teachings

Centennial Efforts and Counter-Efforts of the Millennium

Theosophy and Krishnamurti: Harmonies and Tensions
(Lecture)

Jean Overton Fuller, Master Narayan, and the Krishnamurti-Scott-Anrias Issue

Jean Overton Fuller’s Response to Govert Schuller Regarding the Krishnamurti-Scott-Anrias Issue. Including my reply.

It then branched out into geopolitics and current events with articles on the Iraq War, Russo-Chinese duplicity, 9/11 and the 2007/8 economic crisis:

Dossier: War and Truth (Jan. '03)

The Abiding Communist Threat in its Open and Hidden Manifestations (July '04) & update (Nov '09)

War and Truth V: What happened on 9/11? (March '06)

The State of the US Economy (Sept. '07)

Manipulation, Manipulation, Manipulation (Oct. '07)

Six Degrees To Meltdown (March '08)

Sliding into VGGD (Very Great Global Depression) (April '09)

Also the very fruitful philosophical movement of phenomenology received some attention:

Phenomenology and Spirituality (2001)

The Relevance of Phenomenology for Theosophy (2004)

On Popes, Phenomenology and HPB (April '08)

Pope John Paul II meditating on the Tarot? (April '08)

The Seven Theosophical Principles: An Initial Experiential Grounding in Reflective Experience (June '08)

Recently I added some smaller articles on miscelaneous subjects, some of which were first posted on different Theosophical blogs:

The State of the TS (Adyar) in 2008: A Psycho-esoteric Interpretation (May '08)

Bibracte: Last Center of Celtic Occultism (July '09)

Debunking a New Age Myth-A Call for Discernment
(Dec '10)

Letter to the editor of Quest magazine (Nov '12)

Dr. Schuller and B. de Spinoza (Nov '12; translation)

Latest 2012 Prophecy: The End of the New Age is Nigh! (Dec '12)

And wrote some reviews:

Krishnamurti--Love and Freedom: Approaching a Mystery By Peter Michel.

Prophet's Daughter: My Life with Elizabeth Clare Prophet inside the Church Universal and Triumphant by Erin Prophet. Autobiography.

Bloodline. A pseudo-historical documentary by Bruce Burgess and René Barnett.

The Master. A film by Paul Thomas Anderson. Loosely based on the life of Ron L. Hubbard, founder of Scientology.

Structure

The logic of the structure of Alpheus is that all files can be accessed in three ways:

I. by form: articles, source materials, communications, bibliographies and reviews.

II. by content: Theosophy, Krishnamurti, Ascended Masters, Esoteric History, Parapolitics, Philosophy and Dossiers.

III. by search: Google powered search engine for the site

Caveat

This web site is the product of an individual initiative and is run independently, content-wise and financially, from any spiritual or political organization. All views found on this web site are those of individual writers, contributors or the editor himself. My own position in the forcefield of Theosophical and Ascended Master organizations you can find here.
