It has often been observed that truth is the first victim
of war. But closer to the truth is the fact that war is
actually preceded and made possible by deliberate falsehoods.
Propaganda, deceptions, partisan reporting, psychological
and economical warfare are all aspects of that observation.
Find below some links to highly informative articles, which
can help in assessing the world situation in a different
light.
Included is the now famous article by CFR member Prof. Huntington
about the coming clash of civilizations. It is my hope that
the articles by Griffin and Overbeck will make clear that
Huntington's analysis is not as straightforward as presented.
Civilizations do clash, but it is a different story if the
conflict is deliberately aggravated for the promotion of
a hidden agenda.
The real clash is between on one side all people of good
will, regardless their class, race or culture, and on the
other side this squabbling, infighting international coalition
of greedy, power-hungry cabals, including the Bushes, Rockefellers,
Husseins, Bin Ladens, Thyssens, Warburgs and worse. They
all trade and make war with each other at the expense of
the common people, who often, by trickery, end up being
their apologists and fodder.

Article: "The Grand Deception: A Second Look at the
War on Terrorism" (in 2 parts)
Author: G. Edward Griffin
URL: http://www.newswithviews.com/war_on_terror/
war_on_terrorism.htm
Excerpt: "For several decades, the United States has
been confronted by a steady stream of new enemies. We tend
to view that record as a failure of foreign policy, but
is it really? Perhaps it is not a failure at all. Perhaps
a plan is being implemented that is not readily apparent.
Perhaps the plan is to create and then aggravate enemies
into an attack, to smash the old order of things, to bring
about war and destruction as a necessary step toward the
creation of a new world order."

Article: "Top 11 Lines of Inquiry (to follow to full
disclosure) 9/11 Investigation"
Author: Kyle F. Hence
URL: http://www.tomflocco.com/fs/Top11Lines.htm
Excerpt: "By all evidence, 9/11 has been fully capitalized
and exploited by the Administration and the military-industrial-intelligence-police
complex as a perfect justification for carrying out an agenda
that by all appearances was in place well in advance of
the attacks. 9/11 has been a pretext for huge budget increases
for defense and intelligence, consolidation of political
control that stifles dissent, frightening Orwellian and
unconstitutional increases in police and surveillance powers,
and a massive projection of US military might around the
world."

Article: "Top Ten Conspiracy Theories of 2002"
Author: Mike Ward
URL: http://www.alternet.org/story/14873/
Excerpt: "Following are the ten most alarming theories
about September 11, the "war on terror," and the
future of the world. Feel free to accept them as gospel,
study them as symptoms of a traumatized culture, or scoff
at them as anti-American propaganda."

Article: "ACTION ALERT: Common Myths in Iraq Coverage"
Author: Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting
URL: http://www.fair.org/activism/iraq-myths.html
Excerpt: "An issue as serious as the Iraq crisis deserves
the highest possible degree of accuracy from the press.
U.S. media coverage, however, is marked by frequent misstatements
and distortions of reality-- some of which have been made
repeatedly, even after being pointed out by critics."

Article: "The Council on Foreign Relations and the
New World Order"
Author: Charles Overbeck
URL: http://www.alpheus.org/html/source_materials/
parapolitics/CFR_NWO.htm
Excerpt: "On its web page, the CFR boasts that its
magazine, Foreign Affairs, 'is acclaimed for its analysis
of recent international developments and for its forecasts
of emerging trends.' It's not much of a challenge to do
so, though, when you play a part in determining what those
emerging trends will be. This point is underscored a paragraph
later on their web page: 'Perhaps best known for the history-making
'X' article by George Kennan, that defined Cold War containment
policy, a recent Foreign Affairs article by Harvard's Samuel
Huntington, 'The Clash of Civilizations?'has already helped
define the post-Cold War debate.' So is the CFR predicting
trends or creating them? The answer is fairly obvious to
anyone who has earnestly reflected on the matter."

Article: "The Clash of Civilizations?"
Author: Samuel P. Huntington
URL:http://history.club.fatih.edu.tr/103%20Huntington%20Clash
%20of%20Civilizations%20full%20text.htm
Excerpt: "It is my hypothesis that the fundamental
source of conflict in this new world will not be primarily
ideological or primarily economic. The great divisions among
humankind and the dominating source of conflict will be
cultural. Nation states will remain the most powerful actors
in world affairs, but the principal conflicts of global
politics will occur between nations and groups of different
civilizations. The clash of civilizations will be the battle
lines of the future."
