"In the world of Skull & Bones, one of the greatest
virtues is the ability to steer the nation into war and
to successfully prosecute the war. To the Bonesmen, the
use of military power is a natural and essential corollary
to political power. The Bonesmen are taught that, although
ideas have their place, to truly transform history, military
force is almost always required."
The above quote comes from a 1991 report on the parapolitical
background of President George Bush I in terms of his membership
and initiation in the semi-secret Yale University fraternity
Skull & Bones. Transposing this analysis to the present
situation with Iraq will result in some clear suggestions.
For example the proposition that President George Bush II,
who is also a member of this fraternity, is pursuing this
war for ulterior motives and not for the purposes as presented
recently by USA Secretary of State Colin Powell at the Security
Council of the United Nations. This collection of articles
focuses on the strength of Powell's case about Iraq's alleged
pursuit of Weapons of Mass Destructions and its links with
Al Quaeda. By showing the questionable nature of Powell's
evidence it will make the indirect point to take the argument
about ulterior motives more serious. Even more damaging
is the allegation that Powell knew that the British intelligence
report on Iraq he praised in his presentation was plagiarised.
The issue here is not anymore the nature of the information,
but the integrity of its messenger.

Article: Remarks to The United Nations Security Council
Author: United States Secretary of State Colin L. Powell
Source: United Nations

Excerpt: "I cannot tell you everything that we know,
but what I can share with you, when combined with what all
of us have learned over the years, is deeply troubling.
What you will see is an accumulation of facts and disturbing
patterns of behavior. The facts and Iraqis' behavior--Iraq's
behavior--demonstrate that Saddam Hussein and his regime
have made no effort--no effort--to disarm, as required by
the international community."

Article: "Blair Under Fire For Plagiarized Iraq Dossier"
Author: Dominic Evans
Source: Reuters
URL: http://www.rense.com/plag.htm
Excerpt: "Glen Rangwala, an Iraq specialist at Cambridge
University who analyzed the Downing Street dossier, told
Reuters that 11 of its 19 pages were 'taken wholesale from
academic papers.'
'If the nature of the intelligence is actually just Web
research, then it rather casts doubt about the plausibility
of the government's earlier claims,'said Rangwala, a critic
of U.S. and British policy on Iraq."

Excerpts:
From 1): "Large sections of his essay were copied
verbatim on to the Downing Street site - under the bold
claim that the revelations, for the first time, "outlines
the structure of Saddam's intelligence organisations".
Horrified Intel chiefs, Eliza Manningham-Buller of MI5,
and Richard Dearlove, head of MI6, pointed out the source
of the claim was a student's article in the specialist journal,
"The Middle East Review of International Affairs".
The article was published six months ago. Both MI5 and MI6
subscribe to the journal - as does the CIA. The already
cold relationship between Downing Street and the spy agencies
has plummeted with the discovery that the Prime Minister's
official website had plagiarised an old document - and dressed
it up as the very latest intelligence from MI5 and MI6.
From 2): "For their part, the intelligence chiefs
had never encountered a government like Blair's, so determined
to spin raw intelligence into a heady mixture that often
seemed to be the stuff of Le Carre and Ludlum. But now Downing
Street had gone well beyond that."
From 3): "US Secretary of State Colin Powell was
urged to praise its originality and its up-to-the-minute
proof in his address to the UN last week. He duly did. He
did so knowing that the document had been plagiarised. CIA
Director George Tenet had told him. Powell had told President
Bush. The President insisted the document not only contained
"credible evidence", but it bore the cachet of
being published on Blair's website."

Excerpt: "The classified document, written three weeks
ago, says there has been contact between the two in the
past, but that the relationship had foundered due to mistrust
and incompatible ideologies. That conclusion contradicts
one of the charges laid against Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein
by the United States and Britain -- that he has cultivated
contacts with the group blamed for the 11 September attacks."

Excerpt: "Powell provided satellite imagery of the
Taji complex near Baghdad and showed specific areas in Taji
where illicit chemical and biological weapons were being
researched and stored. UNMOVIC inspectors have routinely
and persistently visited, revisited, and re-revisited the
Taji complex since early December and have found nothing
to substantiate Powell's allegations. The inspectors have
intruded into people's houses, scaled walls, taken air,
water and soil samples in and around Taji and produced no
evidence of illicit activity."

Excerpt: "Some analysts at the Central Intelligence
Agency have complained that senior administration officials
have exaggerated the significance of some intelligence reports
about Iraq, particularly about its possible links to terrorism,
in order to strengthen their political argument for war,
government officials said.
At the Federal Bureau of Investigation, some investigators
said they were baffled by the Bush administration's insistence
on a solid link between Iraq and Osama bin Laden's network.
"We've been looking at this hard for more than a year
and you know what, we just don't think it's there,"
a government official said."

Excerpt: "The entire nuclear weapon program of the
eighties has been either bombed by the Americans during
the war or uncovered by the IAEA inspectors. It is impossible
to hide such buildings and structures. Powell should only
take a look at North Korea's atomic weapon facilities, or
perhaps even Israel's, to realize the impossibility of hiding
such structures with the IAEA inspectors scouring everything
in sight."

Article: "George Bush, Skull & Bones and the New
World Order"
Author: Paul Goldstein and Jeffrey Steinberg
Source: EIR
URL: http://www.alpheus.org/html/source_materials/
parapolitics/sandb.html
Excerpt: "The Skull & Bones members believe in
the idea of "constructive chaos". By keeping their
true policy intentions secret, by constantly sending out
mixed signals on all critical policy issues, they consciously
seek to sow confusion among both their nominal "friends"
and "enemies" alike. The fulcrum for the policy
of constructive chaos is, at present, the Middle East situation.
Although U.S. military action in the region has for the
time being subsided, America's military power will remain
a critical determinant in the future of that vital zone
of conflict. American military power is aimed at securing
undisputed control over the vast reservoir of oil--not at
necessarily fostering any permanent alignment of local states
or combinations of regional interests. If President George
Bush [41] and his fellow true believers are successful the
United States will be first among equals in the New World
Order. This is their goal. It is also the quest of the Bonesmen
of the Order of Skull & Bones-America's warrior aristocracy."
